On Sunday, more of the same. Fog in the valley, clear skies in the mountains. I went into Cardiff, ascending Toledo in the blazing sun and dropping in through Holy Toledo to the flats.

From there, I ascended to the ridge almost to Thermos, before dropping back to the flats at the base of Black Knob.

I then ascended to the base of Cardiac Bowl, skinning up lookers left of the Bowl, before booting the last 400' up the main Couloir to the summit of Superior.

The weather was clearly better than when I was last there! Toledo with USA Bowl and BCC in the background.

The Monte Cristo headwall - one definitely on the list.

Looking over at LCC South - White Pine, Red Pine, Maybird, Hogum, and the Coalpit.

Upper Mill B and the Twins.

The Couloir was fairly dreadful: a mix of bulletproof and styrofoam. Below 10,600', Cardiac Bowl skied OK.

After skiing down to the flats, next stop was Cardiac Ridge. Would I be able to find a clean line?

On reaching the ridge, my plan was to lap it, and then ski down into Mineral. The entrance I wanted to ski was too rocky, so I just skied down. It was a little crusty in places.

I skied down the drainage a bit before acsending again, under the rock slab to High Ivory. I thought about skiing down into Mineral from the ridge, but seeing as I was a bit tired, I took the easy option, skiing Georges Bowl (lookers far right) and exiting via the bottom of Cardiff.

A lot of travelling, a decent chunk of vertical, and only a few good turns. Mineral would have been a better option.
