Another week, another splitter system, another disappointing snow total. Thursday's storm had laid down 6-10" of light density fluff on a deteriorating snow surface. With the system came some cold air. With temperatures close to 0F (is this the Wasatch), the decision was made to return to....

Bluebird and cold we took a similar route to the previous week...

..with the objective this time of summiting Peak 9776.

First, was a short shot underneath the N face of Raymond, again providing some good powder.

Ascending back to the ridge, we skied down the same couloir to get to the base of the Peak.

Near to the top the wind had taken it's toll, so out of the backpack came the crampons.

We didn't see many folks out that day, though we had company on the neighbouring peak.

There were some clouds coming in, but the Twins were peaking through.

Gobblers was looking good too.

The main couloir down was a little sketchy at the top, but gave way to good snow 20 turns down.

Peak 9776 with the Oquirrhs behind. Our descent was the obvious looking line lookers left of the summit.

After skiing down to the flats, we ascended to 300' below the summit to ski the good snow again.

Another good, if cold, day with over 7,000' clocked.
