On Monday, under considerable duress, I was persuaded to go out in the Heli. Predictably the bluebird powder day was the Sunday. The next system was already moving in so we had generally poor visibility. Snow quality was very consistent with about 9" of partially recrystallized powder on a good surface. I had been touring the previous day, and whilst finding some nice powder, I was a bit concerned about wind damage that I found in some areas - especially off the top of the Blackcomb glacier. The guides took us to the Ipsoot area and we encountered the underlying crust rarely.

The next day I started the long tedious drive back to Salt Lake. The view on the way down the Sea-to-Sky did not make up for the ticket I picked up in Eastern Oregon several hundred miles later.
