On Friday, with the good weather continuning we went to the Salt Lake Twins. The intended route was Tanners - Upper Broads - SE Ridge. As usual for this route, the day started early from the LCC road.
The Tanners slide path.
The ascent up the Tanners alide path was relatively straightforward. We had to boot over some debris near the bottom, but otherwise it was possible to skin the entire way up. They weren't necessary, but I was quite glad that I had my ski crampons in my backpack. Not everyone wanted to skin, so demonstrating fine safe-travel-protocols, the climb turned into a bit of race between the booters and the skinners.
We had to negotiate this at the top.
From the top, we skied down into Upper Broads. We were a bit skeptical dropping in.
The entrance is a nice shot between Dromedary (shown on the LHS) and Sunrise/O'Sullivan Peak.
There was some venturi in the entrance, but the aprons below skied quite well.
We skinned up the RHS of Sunrise to gain the summit ridge.
The snow here looked good too, so some of the group took a run back down to the flats.
The 600' ascent up the summit ridge was quite entertaining, requiring crampons, ice axes and in the case of one wimpy member of the group, a short rope.
The only real tricky bit was the 10' rock step. Below here is the Lisa Falls Couloir and 4,500' down, the LCC road.
Looking down Lisa Falls towards the Hogum, the Y Couloir, and the Coalpit.
We ascended the East Summit. From here you have a nice view of downtown SLC..
..and, er, the West Summit.
Off the summit we skied the NW Couloir into Deaf Smith Canyon.

We skinned back up to the Broads ridge and skied the Diving Board down to the flats.
Our tracks amongst the glide cracks in Broads.
We exited via Mill B - taking a short skin from the bottom of Bonkers into Mill B and then skiing down Eni Mini Miny Mo.
All in all, a very good day, sking a lot of good powder with minimal wind damage.
