On Thursday the storm was supposed to drop another 8-10" of snow in the mountains but didn't produce anything other than poor visibility. We went up to Kessler with the intention of skiing the Hanging Meadows on the NE flank and the two slidepaths of God's Lawnmower (N) and Argenta (NW) - a total of 6,700' of ascent.

The snowpack is in good shape at the moment with no persistent weak layers. With activity confined to the recent snow the forecast was moderate. A pit on GM did fail on facets near the bottom (total depth 190cm) on CT30. We also found various shears in the pack (180cm, 130cm, 110cm) at STM / Q2.
The snow was great with face-shots all day. We summitted Kessler at 4:45pm, taking Argenta down to the road.
