On Wednesday, ahead of a promising storm, I went up to Twin Lakes. The winds had been gusting quite hard ahead of the front. Just off the pass the snow was still good with a few inches of nice powder. Further up the ridge towards Patsey Marley, however, a few wind slabs had started to form. I lopped off a few cornices but couldn't get anything to move.

The storm was supposed to bring 1-3' of powder. When it finally arrived - on Wednesday evening = two days late - it only desposited 9" at Alta. It was cold and bluebird on Thursday, so tired from the expeditions earlier in the week, I decided to use the lifts. It wasn't too busy at Alta and I managed to get on Collins at 9:25am, taking the first line through Thirds. I was not disappointed.

It was a day when you didn't have to do too much with the camera.

Across the road, it looked good too. I decided to do a quick lap, descending one of the Emma Ridges.

From Flagstaff, I had a good view of Toledo...

...and Superior.
