The small storm on Sunday afternoon/evening put down up to 12" of dry powder. Monday was bluebird and cold. We started early at White Pine with the objective of heading into the Lone Peak Wilderness.

As we headed into Red Pine we could see some folks blazing up Tanners.

Nice view of the Pfeiff.

We headed into the Maybird Aprons. It was a bit sketchy - the North facing slopes had a nasty wind crust with 0-3" of fluff on top.

We skinned up the trees on the west side of the Aprons which was not exactly easy either - fluff, sugar or both. A pit at the top showed the usual shears on various graupel layers, but nothing apart from the surface on compression.

We took the same track back up and then switched back, climbing over the ridge into Hogum Fork

The Twins

Skiing into Hogum was significantly better, with minimal wind damage on the West facing slopes

Exit, via Hogum, was interesting....
