Armed following the course on the weekend, we headed up from Spruces in BCC with a view to skiing somewhere around Soldier Fork.
On the way up.
Twin Peaks on the left, SLC in the middle, and Raymond on the right.
We saw plenty of this on the way up.
We decided to try an East facing gully just below Soldier Fork near Little Water Peak. Pit tests showed a stable snowpack with the facets near the ground starting to round
There had been some recent activity on the S Ridge of Gobblers.
At the summit.
The skiing was quite good on the way down.
I skinned back up towards Little Water Peak to shoot the next lap.
Exit was via Butlers Fork, requiring a hitch back up to Spruces.
